This year Another Child Foundation will be hosting 3 different summer mission trip experiences. The first trip will take place from June 16/26 and will have 2 teams doing different work in Romania. Team 1 will be taking 30 orphans from the Zau orphanage and local orphan group homes to a beautiful camp in the Carpathian mountains. Team 2 will be doing a VBS for the kids ACF helps in the Community Development Center in Turneveni, Romania. This team will also be doing at outreach project of some kind to the community.
The second team will be headed for Romania from June 29 to July 10. Many different and exciting things will be happening with this team. Most of the team will be taking 70 kids from the Community Development Center (CDC) and doing day-camp experiences with them. For most of these kids it will be their first adventure outside of their immediate neighborhood. From the zoo to a movie to a water park experience these kids will be seeing life in a new way. 2 separate work projects will also be performed during the 10 days of service. The team will be constructing 3 additional rooms in the CDC's 3rd floor to accommodate more kids this fall when the Preschool Day Center opens. Another smaller group will be renovating the Transitional Living Center, which houses 3 young ladies transitioning from the orphanage to real life. This should be an exciting trip for all of the participants.
Finally, the 3rd team will be leaving the US soil for Romania on July 14 and returning July 24. This teams focus will be on finishing up all of the projects started by the previous teams. This important work will ensure everything is ready to go come this fall. This team will also be constructing a pantry room for the 8 girls living in the brand new Group Home. Since the house parents have 2 kids themselves this brings the total living in this home to 12 people. The home will be comfortable enough for 12 people but some additional room for food storage is necessary. I can not imagine having to buy groceries for 12 people.
That is it for now. Please keep these teams in your prayers because being the hands and feet of Jesus is highly responsible work and should not be taken for granted. Please pray!

Group Home is now open
After what seems like forever the group home for the 8 young girls or ladies from the Zau Orphanage is now open for business. Our Romanian staff- Dacian Moldovan and Gabi Szabo have done an exceptional job preparing the home for these kids. Not only have they bought everything a new home needs but they also did allot of work in having the kids feel right at home as soon as they walked in the front door. The house parents Liliana and Mircea seem very excited to be part of this experience.
So, there will be a total of 12 people living in this home. Don't worry the home is big enough to hold all 12! It has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and other utility rooms. While everythinng seems to be going well we are still in a learning mode. We know some things will go as planned and other things not quite so weel. But everyone is ready to do whatever it takes to make this home a blessing for all involved!
