Adelin at the Point of Hope |
Adelin Baies was born on June 23rd, 2011 in Tarnaveni, and he has been
coming to Point of Hope since September 2014, this being his first year in any
educational facility.
Adelin
was born into a legally established family and he has an older sibling who is
7. The family lives in a one room
apartment they rent from the authorities.
The room is properly furbished, they have electricity and heating agent,
while they get their water from the neighborhood well. The regular income of the family consists of
child support from the government and some social aid. Adelin’s parents are unemployed but they try
to find day jobs especially in agriculture.
However, the parents are involved in the children’s education and are
interested in Adelin’s evolution and well-being.
The
first few days he came to Point of Hope Adelin cried for his mother but
eventually he was able to adapt to the program.
He is shy in relation with the adults, but he loves being with other
children. He is now the one who
encourages other children to play and helps them when they are sad and wanting
to go home. Adelin has a short attention
span and is easily distracted during class activities but we hope to be able to
help him learn and be everything he can be.
The sponsorship of a child through Another Child Foundation is surprisingly simple, and the effects your sponsorship will have on a child is dramatic. Supporting an at-risk child in one of our 2 programs enables our staff members to not only provide for their educational & physical needs, but will provide HOPE for the child as the staff mentors the child. By providing the LOVE of God to the child, the child’s self-esteem will soar as they develop into the person God has created them to be. Without the assistance of generous people these children will continue to live in the “darkness” they we born into. To learn more about Child Sponsorship CLICK HERE.
